Gelobet sey der Herr, der Gott Israel, denn Er hat besucht und erl�set sein Volck.

Gott Lob! die Thr�nen sind verstopffet,
Das Seufftzen (PT: Seuffzen) ist gestillt,
Das in dem alten Bunde
Aus aller Frommen Hertz und Munde
Am Himmel angeklopffet.
Sein Wort hat Gott, der treue Gott erf�llt,
Da Er den Heyland kommen lie�,
Den Er nach Adams Fall verhie�.
Es stellte sich vorher Johannes ein,
Den Weg ihm zu bereiten.
So must es auch nach Gottes Wahrheit seyn.
Ach ja, auf seiner Seiten
Darff auch kein W�rtgen nicht
Leer auf die Erde fallen.
Gott h�lt, was Er verspricht,
Und meynts gut mit uns allen.
Ein ieder Tag erzehlt uns neue Proben.
Wer wollte Gott nicht loben?

Welchs Er uns beydes schenckt.

All praise be to the Lord God of Israel, for he hath now come and redeemed his people.

Praise God! The tears have been arrested,
The sighing hath been stilled,
Which in the ancient cov�nant
From all the righteous� hearts and voices
At heaven�s door were knocking.
His word hath God, the faithful God, fulfilled,
For he the Savior let come forth
Whom he at Adam�s fall did pledge.
Before that time had come did John appear,
The way for him to ready.
This must as well the truth of God fulfill,
Ah yes, for in his presence
May not a single morn
In vain on earth have fallen.
God keeps what he hath pledged
And all of us doth favor.
Of this each day doth give to us new witness.
Who would not God sing praises?

Praise him with hearts and voices,     
Which he did us both give;
That is a blessed hour
In which one on him thinks;
Else is lost all the time
Which we on earth are spending.
We shall one day be blessed
And live forevermore.

We will in God be trusting
And be rock-sure upon his truth relying.
Doth that oft seem to tarry
Which he hath pledged to give?
For this do not feel sorrow.
What not today comes morrow.
He knows the time and understands
When, how and where his grace in us shall flourish.

For meanwhile patience doth he test.

I trust in God, but in myself trust not.
My very heart itself and me can swindle.
But God�s word bears eternally no falsehood.
It bides and stands, though earth and heaven fall.

Who hopes in God and in him trusts
Shall never be confounded;
For who upon this rock doth build,
E'en though there may surround him
Great danger here,
I've yet known ne'er
That man to fall in ruin,
Who doth rely upon God's help.(1)
He helps his faithful always.

If bide my Jesus mine,
I shall become another John.
That is, to live in God's dear favor.
His word is even here
The seal upon my confidence.
I will for this
Him praise and honor offer.
More can, more know I not.

8. Dictum

Amen, laud and honor, and wisdom, and thanks, and praise,(2) and might, and power be to our God, from evermore to evermore. Amen.
