Es war aber nahe das Fest des s��en Brot', das da Ostern hei�et und die Hohenpriester und Schriftgelehrten trachteten, wie sie ihn t�teten; und f�rchteten sich vor dem Volke. Es war aber der Satanas gefahren in den Judas, genannt Ischariot, der da war aus der Zahl der Zw�lfen. Und er ging hin und redet' mit den Hohenpriestern und Hauptleuten, wie er ihn wollte ihnen �berantworten.
It was, however, near the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is called the Passover, and the high priests and the learned doctors considered how to put him to death; and they were afraid of the people. But Satan had entered into Judas, called Iscariot, who was one of the Twelve. And he went forth and spoke with the high priests and officers as to how he would hand him over to them.

The soul knoweth how to treasure highly those things that fill the hand and coffer, things that please the eyes and gratify desires of the senses. It strives for vain possessions and remains bereft of eternal things; who will rescue it from the snares of mortal peril?

The kings of the world rule, and those in power are called beneficent rulers. Not so however with you! Rather, the greatest amongst you should be as the youngest, and he of the highest rank as a servant. For who is the greatest: he who sitteth at the table, or he who serveth there? Is it not he who sitteth at the table? But I am amongst you as a servant. However, ye are those who have firmly stood by me during my trial.

But all of his relatives had been standing at a distance, as well as the women, who had followed him from Galilee, and saw it all. And, behold, there was a man with the name of Joseph, a member of the Council, who was a good and righteous man. He had not approved the Council's verdict and action; he was from Arimathea, a city of Judea. He, too, was looking forward to the kingdom of God and went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.
